Description
This class brings together all the skills in the student's toolbox by creating a solution to a real world problem over the course of a semester. They will bring together data stored in a variety of formats and locations -- including the cloud, cleanse it, analyze it, visualize it and communicate their findings.

  1. Collaborate within a project team to deliver a comprehensive analytics solution for a complex, real-world business problem in a cloud environment

  2. Construct data aggregation logic to transform raw, granular event logs into structured daily and categorical summaries for high-level analysis

  3. Resolve advanced analytical obstacles—such as detrending and data stability—through independent research and logical troubleshooting

  4. Translate business questions into multidimensional analytical perspectives by shifting from simple temporal reporting to variable-driven correlation analysis

  5. Orchestrate automated data workflows using Azure services to manage and scale the end-to-end processing of cloud-based datasets

  6. Appraise the technical and architectural trade-offs between various supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms to justify model selection for a given use case

  7. Synthesize disparate data sources to identify meaningful relationships and drivers within a large-scale dataset

  8. Demonstrate logical independence by implementing technical solutions to "unstructured" data puzzles without direct instructional guidance
