Description
This seminar helps Business Transfer students explore majors, career paths, and transfer options. Through discussions, workshops, and guest speakers, students will gain insight into business disciplines and build confidence in making academic decisions about their future business major and potential transfer options. This course is intended for students in a University Transfer Pre-Major.

  1. Describe various business majors and their focus areas, enabling informed choices about academic paths

    Compare the core skills and coursework associated with each major
    Evaluate personal strengths and interests in relation to different business disciplines

    Identify common entry-level careers for each business major
    Summarize job outlook, salary range, and required qualifications

  3. Evaluate transfer institutions that offer business programs

    Criteria
    Use research tools
    Compare transfer institutions offering business programs
    Identify admission requirements, deadlines, and transfer pathways for different transfer institutions
    Analyze how each institution’s business program aligns with academic and career goals

  4. Create an academic and career plan based on personal values, interests, and market trends in the business field
