Description
ESL Beginner for College Transfer and Technical Careers modules A-D are designed for adult ESL students. Emphasis is on using English in different situations, comprehending a range of written materials, and writing a variety of words and sentences. Other topics include: seeking clarification, using grammar, employing pronunciation strategies, understanding signs, and basic functional communication. Students learn computer literacy, critical thinking, and problem solving.

  1. Employ basic alphabet/phonics skills to begin to decode English words while understanding classroom imperatives. Students will be able to recognize and pronounce numbers 1-10 and 10-90 (counting by 10s)

  4. Develop language skills related to classroom and numbers 1-100
