Course

This eight-week course is linked in sequence with Reading Foundations 3. The course builds vocabulary, fluency, and background knowledge thorugh basic readings in social studies, science, and literature, along with basic computer literacy, for those whose goal is to pass the GED/HSED, to improve English language skills, or to achieve personal, work, civic, family, or other educational goals. Learners idenifty the main idea and supporting details in text and write paragraphs with amain idea and supporting details in response to text. Learners obtain an MATC email account and learn basic email, word processing, and Internet navigation skills.
