Course Information
Description
Students will review and enhance speed and proficiency in basic arithmetic facts and operations, elementary geometry facts and operations, fractions, decimals, percents, exponents, using formulas, appropriate and efficient usage of calculators, measurement and conversion of units. Problem solving will include simple interest, ratio and proportion, elementary geometry and basic statistics. Emphasis will be placed on assisting students to improve organizational skills, study skills and mental math skills in order to enhance the student's ability to proceed in further mathematics and science classes or successfully complete occupational program courses that rely on these skills.
