Course Information
Description
Writing Foundations 1 Survey is designed to help basic education students acquire the language skills necessary to succeed in higher levels of writing or academic writing, pass the GED Language Arts, Writing Test OR improve their writing skills for other goals.  Instruction is individualized, and the course covers basic grammar, sentence formation, capitalization/end punctuation and spelling.  Students will also complete a number of practice/assessment exercises and computer assisted instruction (CAI) assignments.

  2. Apply sentence structure rules.

  3. Apply capitalization and end punctuation rules.

  4. Apply spelling rules.
