Course Information
Description
Safe and capable handling of authorized DOC firearms will be introduced in this course.  Weapons nomenclature, safety, sighting and aiming, trigger squeeze, ammunition, and duty gear are covered.  Legal limitations pertaining to the use of firearms are discussed.  DOC rules and restrictions are reviewed.  Weapons firing and qualifications in accordance with DOC.306 are included in this course.
