Course Information
Description
Apprentices will examine emergency situations that can arise in correctional institutions and discuss the role of corrections officers and emergency response units. Use of ERU gear will be practiced. In addition, apprentices will learn about fire science, SCBA's, use of fire extinguishers, fire control and practical exercises. The course includes American Red Cross first aid and CPR certifications.
