Course Information
Description
Apprentices will examine security procedures used by the Department of Corrections. Course topics include key and tool control, restraints, transportation, risk management, security threats, and incident command systems. This introduction to security reviews institution classifications, inmate classifications, roles performed by various correctional staff, and rules and regulations found in DOC-306 and other agency regulations.
