Description
Course examines both preventative and predictive maintenance concepts as they apply to millwright work processes and machine maintenance.  Apprentices will develop skills related to assessing machine conditions and faults based on both preventative and predictive maintenance.  This course is the former C-15 module in related instruction for the MMMP apprenticeship program.

    apprentice can explain the importance of applying Lockout Tagout procedures
    apprentice can match the correct tool for a specific PM such as the correct indicator, etc.
    apprentice can explain the importance of a post PM report

  2. Assess machine conditions and faults from the Preventive Maintenance process

    by explaining how to assess machine condition
    by developing a post PM report

    apprentice accurately interprets a PM worksheet
    apprentice can describe why use of senses are important when performing a PM
    apprentice can explain possible problems that can be found by performing a PM
    apprentice explains the importance of cleanliness when performing a PM
    apprentice makes suggestions for corrective actions

  3. Examine Predictive Maintenance methods

    by explaining the uses of common predictive maintenance procedures
