Course Information
Description
Apprentices will become familiar with basic architectural hardware, including installation techniques, ADA, and NFPA requirements. In addition, the course examines the maintenance of various hardware normally found on a commercial job site. Hardware including cylindrical, mortised, tubular, and unit style locks, closers, and related hardware are explored.
Course is taught by SE Wisconsin Carpentry Training Center staff and aligns with the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters & United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America national curriculum. This course is NOT part of WTCS provided instruction but posted on the repository for purposes of potential credit articulation agreements, reviewing advanced standing requests, and evaluating credit for prior learning.
