Description
An introductory course designed to provide the learner with a basic practical understanding of Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, Oxy- acetylene and Plasma Metal cutting processes. Emphasis is placed on welding and cutting safety, equipment set-up/ adjustment and developing manipulative skills. This course satisfies the requirement for Plumbing apprentices, prior course number 50442502.

  3. Produce shielded metal arc welds in the flat position on mild steel

  6. Produce gas metal arc welds in the flat position on mild steel

  7. Produce gas metal arc welds in the horizontal position on mild steel

  8. Set-up and operate oxy-fuel equipment
