Course Information
Description
Introduction to oxy-acetylene welding and brazing, with a heavy emphasis on mig welding techniques as related to the collision repair industry. Students learn the proper use of the hammer and dolly, other metal straightening tools and the process of metal finishing and plastic filling. The refinishing phase includes instruction in the proper use of the spray gun, refinishing panels and fenders, spot repairing of panels and fenders and blending and tinting of paint. Shop and paint safety practices are emphasized.
