Course Information
Description
Students will apply competencies established in Fabrication 1 to programmable forming equipment. Students create assemblies from industrial drawings conforming to industry standards. Emphasis will be placed on safe operation procedures, the selection of tooling, and calculations required to properly operate programmable forming equipment.

  4. Perform forming operations for fabrication assemblies

    Criteria
    Written evaluation of the set-up/operation of the CNC Press Brake and Power Forming Roll is completed successfully per instructor guidelines
    You safely operate programmable forming equipment
    Forming meets quality standards per tolerances specified on the drawing
    Lengths for the web, flanges, and angles meet quality standards per tolerances specified on the drawing
    Forming is free of sharp edges
    Forming is free of dust, oil, or dirt

  5. Perform joining operations for fabrication assemblies
