Description
This course emphasizes interior finish including, but not necessarily limited to, installing wall board, hanging interior doors, installing interior trim, installing kitchen and bathroom cabinets, and completing a punch list.

  2. Finish drywall

    Describe the process of finishing drywall
    Drywall tape and joint (mud) compound is applied with minimal air pockets and wrinkles
    Dried joint compound is sanded effectively to achieve a smooth, even surface with minimal visible seams or imperfections
    Drywall finish meets specified level as required by project specifications
    Corner bead installation is effective and secure with straight and durable corners
    Patches and repairs blend seamlessly with the surrounding area

  4. Install cabinets

  5. Install interior doors

  7. Complete a punch list

    Criteria
    Evaluate punch list for clarity, descriptions of each deficiency, deficiency location, and the required corrective action
    Prioritize punch list items based on severity and impact on project completion
    Organize punch list items logically for efficient tracking and completion
    Verify the completion of each punch list item or complete each item
    Document the corrective action taken
    Close out items within timeline specified by the instructor
    Reassign items and document cause, if not completed
    Use forms or digital tools as specified by the instructor
