Course Information
Description
This course will provide students to acquire knowledge of permanent waving.  Course competencies include perm wraps, curvature wraps, spiral wraps, bricklay wraps, and double-tool/piggy back wraps.  This class will be taught by the following methods: lecture, discussion, demonstration, and hands-on performance.

    Criteria

    you demonstrate safety and sanitation procedures for hair and scalp analysis
    you apply the factors of hair analysis to chemical services
    you apply the principles of anatomy and physiology of hair and scalp
    you demonstrate consultation questioning techniques

  2. Follow safety and sanitation procedures
    Assessment Strategies
    in the classroom/lab without references, follow safety and sanitation procedures according to the chemical texture service rubrics
    Criteria
    a score of C or higher is achieved on the chemical texture service rubrics
    you adhere to blood protocol procedures
    you follow safety and decontamination procedures
    you demonstrate the proper cleaning and disinfecting of all tools and equipment

  3. Explain the physical and chemical actions that take place during chemical texture services
