Course Information
Description
This course introduces a combination of haircutting techniques and tools. Learners perform four basic haircutting techniques using shears, razor and clippers. Learner will perform a variety of shorthair combination cuts using finger-and –shear, comb-over-shear, shear-over-comb and freehand techniques.

    you explain safety and sanitation procedures associated with draping
    you select the proper cape for a haircutting service
    you place a neck strip between the cape and client's neck
    you place the cape over the back of the chair
    you position mannequin appropriately for the procedure

  3. Select barbering tools, equipment, and products for haircuts

    by demonstrating appropriate tool use
    by selecting the proper product
    by using resources provided by the instructor

    you identify the tools used for haircutting
    you identify the tools used for texturizing
    you explain proper care and maintenance of haircutting tools

  4. Demonstrate basic solid form haircut techniques

    you follow guide line and partings for solid haircuts

    you demonstrate texturizing techniques according to instructor guidelines
    you complete haircutting techniques within timeframe specified by instructor

  5. Demonstrate graduated haircut techniques
