Course Information
Description
Continues the development of key aspects of Jewelry 1 and introduces additional techniques and ideas, such as hydraulic press, hollow forms, riveting, hinges, fold forming or forging, soldering wire. Curriculum focuses on qualities unique to Metalsmithing as a craft practice. Students gain an understanding of the discipline, while allowing for multiple traditional and experimental processes. Students are encouraged to develop their own creative vision exploring their ideas in metal.
