Course Information
Description
This is a beginning course in black-and-white photography, with emphasis on practical experience. Students will learn to use an adjustable camera, to process black-and-white film, to make contact sheets, and to produce photographic enlargements from selected negatives. In addition, students will learn to dry mount and spot prints for professional presentation. Familiarization with high standards of photographic quality will be integrated in all class assignments. Creative vision will be explored in critiques of student work. Color photography is not included in this course.
