Description
Introductory course in power volleyball. Includes skills basic to the power game as well as rules and strategy for the beginner player. Fitness activities specific to volleyball will be included.

    you follow basic volleyball rules
    you identify referees (instructor) rules call

  3. Demonstrate volleyball game strategies
    Assessment Strategies
    by attending and participating in class game situation
    on a written exam
    by attending class mini lectures on rules, strategies, offense and defense
    Criteria
    you participate in different game like situations
    you participate in 6 on 6 game using 4-2 and 6-2 offense
    you participate in 6 on 6 game using 2-1-3 and 2-4 defense

  4. Demonstrate safety rules
    Assessment Strategies
    by participating in game situations
    by participating in drills
    on a written exam
    Criteria
    you stop playing when court situations are hazardous
    you wear appropriate apparel and shoes
    you avoid dehydration
    you maintain appropriate distance from net and individuals to avoid contact injury
    you demonstrate proper mechanics of skills as performed by instructor

  5. Demonstrate volleyball etiquette
