Description
Pickleball, a fun activity for all ages, is played with a paddle and a wiffleball on a badminton sized court with a three-foot-high net. Development of basic skills, ball placement, teamwork, and match play are emphasized during extensive active practice and play.

  3. Apply pickleball safety and physical conditioning standards

    Criteria
    Wear athletic apparel and shoes as prescribed by the industry or instructor
    Avoid dehydration
    Maintain minimum distance from others who are practicing or playing
    Clear playing court and surrounding area of debris or unneeded equipment
    Relate the importance of practice drills, such as line drills, to game performance

  4. Demonstrate pickleball etiquette
    Assessment Strategies
    Skill Demonstration in single and doubles games
    Criteria
    Wait until play is stopped before retrieving a ball from a different court or walking behind that court
    Avoid game-disrupting actions
    Announce the score before each point when serving
    Accept opponent's line judgments
    Referee game according to pickleball rules
