Description
This introductory course covers general biological principles with an emphasis on cell structure and function, Mendelian genetics, and vertebrate anatomy and physiology. Consideration is also given to diversity within the animal kingdom and environmental interactions. Includes three periods of lecture per week, two periods of laboratory and a one-period laboratory discussion session.
