Course Information
Description
This course will survey Latino/Chicano(a) histories and cultures in North America from earliest times to the present. Special emphasis will be placed on indigenous peoples as well as later immigrants from Mexico, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Central and South America, and others areas within the Caribbean. Students will be introduced to the varieties and complexities of Latino/Chicano social, political, and economic conditions and achievements in the area of what in now the United States.
