Course Information
Description
This is a ten-day study tour which will allow students to experience French history, culture and language while traveling in France. Our study will emphasize four streams of inquiry into French society: Medieval France, France in the Renaissance and Nineteenth and Twentieth Century France. Through lectures, reading, journaling and visiting, students will become more familiar with the historical and cultural sites of Normandy, the Loire Valley and Paris. Students will choose one area of specialization that they will concentrate on in their study (such as Joan of Arc, William the Conqueror, etc).
