Course Information
Description
This course will study the ancient Mediterranean region starting with Old Kingdom Egypt and ending with the fall the of Western Empire in 476 CE. It will chart the development of communities and cultures, examine social and economic conditions, and analyze major intellectual, political, and religious developments in the ancient Mediterranean and in Mesopotamia.
