Course Information
Description
Intro to Modern Arabic 2 builds on the basic understanding of the Arabic sounds and writing system and conversational skills in Modern Standard Arabic established in Intro to Modern Arabic 1. Emphasis is placed on the continued development of more complex communicative skills through practice in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. By the end of Arabic 2, students will acquire the communicative skills necessary to handle simple everyday survival tasks in Arabic. You will also have a better understanding of and appreciation for people and cultures other than your own and an increased awareness of Arabic-speaking countries in the world.
