Course Information
Description
Spanish 4 stresses seven major communicative functions of language and emphasizes the key grammatical structures needed to realize these communicative objectives successfully. The course focuses on expanding vocabulary, increasing grammatical accuracy, and achieving paragraph-length discourse. Using the target language, students read and discuss culturally centered texts, review and broaden grammatical knowledge, complete oral and written exercises, write compositions, and make formal class presentations. Prerequisite: three semesters of college Spanish or three years of high school Spanish.
