Course Information
Description
An introductory level biology course featuring lectures and lab activities covering the basic knowledge necessary for successful completion of college level courses in biological sciences that may be required for specific programs. Study and test-taking skills as they pertain specifically to biological science courses are examined. The basic principles of chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology and genetics provide the background necessary for understanding biological processes. Students learn to operate a microscope and complete several simple experiments to prepare them for the laboratory portion of future biological science courses.
