Course Information

Description

This course provides the student with the opportunity to enhance his or her learning through thepractice of paramedicine in field and health care environment experiences with actual patients under the supervision of instructors or approved preceptors. Successful completion of this course requires the student to meet all clinical/field requirements leading up to the paramedic field capstone phase of education.

you maintain EMS vehicles and equipment

you comply with weapons of mass destruction (WMD) requirements

you prepare for the treatment of patients exposed to hazardous materials you utilize a triage system for mitigating multiple casualty incidents

you meet minimum simulation standards and guidelines as identified by CoAEMSP, WTCS, DHS, and Advisory Board
Integrate pathophysiological principles and assessment findings to provide appropriate patient care.

Demonstrate paramedic skills associated with established standards and procedures for a variety of patient encounters.
