Description
Examines the history of the juvenile justice system and the nature and extent of juvenile delinquency in the U.S. Compares biological, psychological and sociological theories; analyzes the impact of social issues related to delinquency. Outlines case law regarding legal rights of juveniles; distinguishes between the roles of the Police, Juvenile Courts, and Juvenile Aftercare within the juvenile justice system and how they interact and influence each other.
