Course Information

Description

Learn the necessary weapons handling skills and how to care for and maintain their duty handguns. Learn to shoot quickly and accurately under a variety of conditions including under low light, while moving and from behind cover.

you maintain a duty belt, holster and magazine pouches
Fire the duty weapon accurately in a variety of conditions and environments

you draw the duty weapon and for recovering the weapon to the holster

you unload the weapon

you identify various types of weapon malfunctions including the causes of these malfunctions

you clear the malfunctions

you demonstrate the use of "cover" when shooting the duty weapon
