Course six of 8 covers the selection of proper conductors and raceways for industrial electrical installations as required by the NEC and other electrical codes. In addition, course competencies will include examining the installation requirements for data and communication cables.

    Assessment Strategies
    by creating a chart showing types of communication cables and their installation requirements
    Criteria
    the charts horizontal axis shows the information or communication cable type with a separate column for EACH type
    the charts vertical axis shows cable function, special tooling required, advantages, disadvantages, and  installation requirements with a separate row for EACH requirement
    apprentice has the chart completely filled in
