Course Information
Description
Teaches students to maintain service and repair emission control systems found on heavy-duty diesel and alternate fueled engines. The course also includes fault diagnosis, failure analysis and part inspection for reusability.

Course Competencies
  1. Demonstrate safe working habits while working on diesel and alternative fueled powered equipment and their associated systems

  2. Describe the chronological local, state and federal regulations governing diesel and alternative fueled engine emission certifications for on-highway and off-highway applications.
