Course Information
Description
Students receive on-the-job experience in the areas of implement repair and service. Areas covered include, but are not limited to, tillage, planting and hay harvesting machines. Students also will be exposed to the operation and function of the dealership service department. Prerequisite: second-semester standing.

  7. Perform hay tool service and set-up

  8. Test, service and repair charging, starting and lighting systems

    through evaluation by the work-site supervisor through completion of required forms and repair orders
    Criteria
    you test the charging and starting systems
    you select the failed component for repair or replacement
    you check the electrical system for opens, shorts and grounds
    you use amp, volt and ohm meters as well as other basic electrical test equipment
